Internet Marketing Success

Writen by C. E. White

Information products are easily sold via the internet today in such forms as audio, video and ebooks.

In order to be successful on the internet super highway, you must first find a unique information product and find a target market.

Ebooks are much easier and much less expensive to create than a printed book. First, your customer can download the ebook immediately and secondly, there is no shipping cost as in a printed book.

Take action by gathering ideas from such places as magazine ads, tv commercials and searching for hot topics on the internet. Large companies spend large sums of money on print and tv advertising. You can bet they know their target market. So, why not let them help you find that target market.

After finding a niche market, it is time to test market your idea. You will make mistakes and try things that just don't work, but don't get discouraged. Learn from your mistakes. You will be amazed at the results that come from the school of hard knocks.

Having your own internet marketing business is exciting and very rewarding and you may even make lots of money. This is an exciting market and can be very rewarding.

Good luck and TAKE ACTION NOW!

10 Essential Tips To Ensure Your Press Release Drives Traffic To Your Website

Writen by Nihkie Mhlanga

If you are aiming to increase your sales, expose your business and increase traffic to your website, a well-written press release can help you achieve that.

What is a press release? A press release is a condensed article that is written in a journalistic style. It is not a sales document or an advertisement.

What is the purpose of a press release? Press releases provide the publicity and traffic any online business needs. A well-prepared press release focuses on what is newsworthy and exciting about your company or product. The main objective in writing an effective press release is to get it read and published. Consequently, the press release must be written in a crisp, clear and engaging style.

Now, let's look at the critical things to consider in order to write an effective press release that will help you get free publicity and drive traffic to your online business.

- Is your news 'news-worthy'? Do you have something news-worthy to write about your company or product? Your press release must be informative on the '5 Ws' of your organization, program, product or service - providing answers for the questions: who, what, where, when and why. Put yourself in your audience's shoes - will someone else find your story interesting?

- Have a strong and captivating introduction. The heading of the press release should capture the attention of the journalist and the media. The title of the press release should be short and snappy, and hopefully grab the attention of the journalist and audience, impressing them enough to make them read on.

- Target your audience. In order to be effective, your press release must target a specific audience. Provide the audience with the information that is intended for them and tell them why they should continue to read it. The more focused and targeted your press release is, the more effective it is.

- Be factual and provide the facts about your news. Avoid making fluffy and exaggerated statements. 'Too good to be true' statements in your news reduces your credibility. Avoid hype and jargon, provide the facts in plain and ordinary language. Additionally, avoid using the exclamation point (!) where it is not necessary. If you must use an exclamation point, use one. Avoid doing this!!!

- Be economic with your words . Use only enough words to tell your story. Avoid using unnecessary adjectives, flowery language, or redundant expressions. Keep your news release concise and make each word count.

- Provide some illustrations. It is important to use some real life examples about how your company or organization solved a problem. This helps increase the credibility of your news release. Provide examples of how your service or product fulfills needs or satisfies desires. What benefits can be expected or what remarkable benefit did one get from using your product?

- Select an interesting angle. It is important to make your press release timely, and relate it to a news-worthy development or event. If possible, try to link your news to current events or social issues, to ensure that your release has a 'good news' element.

- Keep your release simple and short. Press releases are not meant to tell the whole story behind your news. They are meant to give the journalist an idea of what's happening in your business that readers need to know about.

- Provide your contact information. Provide full contact information with your press release, namely a contact name, address, web site address and e-mail address.

- Decide where and how to send your press release. Compile a list of the media in the geographic range you want to cover. Your choice will depend on the resources of the organization, time frame of the news item and the segment under which your press release falls.

Press releases have several advantages, namely, they are low cost, they increase visibility for your company, they provide added credibility for your organization and most importantly they provide free publicity which can easily convert to more sales. Use these tips and tap on the potential for news releases to give your online business a dramatic boost through increased exposure, traffic and sales.

Profitable Online Campaigns Guaranteed

Writen by Daniel Levis

When you boil it right down, there are really only three things that you need to do exceedingly well to market your business effectively online.

And they are,

Obtaining an Opportunity to Sell – Driving traffic to your website.

Closing the Sale – Making your sales presentation on your site.

Following Up on Your Maybes - Pick the ripe ones yes, but be sure to irrigate & fertilize the soil, prune & bug spray the trees with care, and nurture the all of the fruit along. In other words, capture email addresses and follow up.

Mastering all three of these activities is critically important to your success.

But when you're starting a new venture, which one do you master first?

In my experience, the overwhelming tendency is to start at the beginning. That is, spending maximum time & effort attracting traffic.

Unfortunately, this all to common approach often results in failure.

Frequently, those that go this route never really get off the ground, because they can't turn a profit. They invariably discover, after spending boatloads of cash, that some of the estimates they made in their business plan were off the mark.

Speaking of getting off the ground, allow me relate a story to illustrate my point …

I'm betting you all know the story of Orville & Wilbur Wright. They went down in history as the first human beings to really fly. But how many people remember Dr. Samuel Pierpont Langley?

In 1896 the Wright Brothers, and Langley were engaged in a fierce competition.

Who would be first to conquer the skies?

Langley, a distinguished scholar and secretary of the Smithsonian institute was the clear favorite. He had already achieved impressive unmanned flight over the Potomac River with his steam powered Aerodrome No. 6.

Based on this success, Langley was able to raise $100,000 in funding, and set out to develop an extraordinary radial-cylinder internal combustion engine that would produce an astonishing 52 horsepower! In his estimation, capable of powering an aerodrome large enough for manned flight.

The Wright Brothers, by contrast were convinced that the secret to success lay in their ability to control the aircraft, once in flight. They therefore spent their time experimenting with gliders over the forgiving sands of Kitty Hawk.

For several seasons they worked on manipulating the wings, nose, and tail of the aircraft, so as to allow the operator to actively control it.

Wilbur, who most often piloted, suffered a multitude of minor cuts and bruises. But on each successive trial, much was learnt.

On October 7, 1903, it looked like the Wright's had lost, as Langley made ready his first manned launch. Langley's plane would go from a dead stop to the 60 m.p.h. flying speed in only 70 feet.

But the stress of the catapult launch proved greater than the flimsy wood-and-fabric airplane could stand, and the front wing was badly damaged on take off.

The nose heavy Aerodrome "A" then plunged into the Potomac.

A reporter who witnessed the event claimed it flew "like a handful of mortar".

Things went even worse during the second launch of December 9, 1903, where the rear wing and tail completely collapsed during launch.

Langley had succeeded in burning through almost all of his $100,000 in capital.

Just 8 days after Langley's spectacular failure, a sturdy, well designed craft, powered by a tiny 8 horse power engine, costing about $1,000, struggled into the air at Kitty Hawk, defining for all time the moment when humankind, mastered the skies.

Langley died in 1906 after a series of strokes, a broken and disappointed man.

"What on Earth Does Flying Wooden Airplanes Have to Do With Marketing My Online Business?"

The moral of the story is this.

Test, test, and retest your prime value proposition to be sure it converts customers, BEFORE committing yourself to major capital outlays, and the start of your campaign.

Will your site convert a high enough percentage of prospects into customers to make your campaign profitable?

Like the Wright brothers, who focused on control, versus brute force, you will dramatically improve your chances of success, if you make the development of a persuasive, & compelling closing pitch, your number 1 priority.

TESTED, to bring home the bacon! Don't even consider launching your production campaigns until this is done.

And then, BRING ON THE TRAFFIC!

It's all about your ability to control, influence and motivate the minds of your prospects, once you've attracted them to your place of business. Just the way the Wright brothers were able to manipulate the wings, rudder, and nose of the aircraft.

Marketing Strategy

Writen by Brandon Milford

With the plethora of websites online and hundreds added each day, how are you going to separate your website from the others? When I began my first online venture I was so excited to have my website up and running and I remember thinking "wow, the toughest part is behind me", referring to finally getting the aesthetics and functionality of the website just how I wanted them. I thought that marketing the website would be the easy part. Boy was I wrong.

My site was up and running and was designed very professionally. I had no doubt that visitors would be confident in my ability to deliver top notch services. The only problem was that I had very few visitors. I made a couple of ignorant marketing mistakes early on that cost me.

One mistake was simply not planning. I had no plan in place on how I would go about marketing the website and reaching my target market. I really had not even truly defined my target market. Sure, I thought about it a lot, but I had not written down who my target market consisted of. I find that actually writing down your goals in business and life is key to your reaching them. By writing down what you wish to accomplish you can have your plan there in front of you and it makes it easy to analyze and ask yourself if you are taking the correct steps to achieve your goals. How on earth could I have expected to successfully market the website if I had not defined my niche market and written out my course of action on how to position my business within this group? So what sort of things should you think about when planning your marketing strategy? Here's a basic list to get you on the right track.

Basic Steps to Planning Your Marketing Strategy

1. Decide whether you are going to sell products, services or both.

2. Test the waters to ensure that there is a legitimate demand for your product and/or service. Do this by simply talking to friends and family and ask them if they would find your offerings useful. Also, make up a short questionnaire and have people fill them out. On the questionnaire include questions pertaining to the problem that you are solving with your products/services. This will give you insight into the number of people that are experiencing this problem as well.

Also on this questionnaire include questions such as "What magazines/newspapers do you read?" "What type of websites do you most often view?" What we are now doing is ensuring that there is indeed a market for our products/services and at the same time gathering valuable information on how to place our products in front of them and others like them, once we bring our products/services to the market. Use your imagination and ask other insightful questions that will give you additional information into their lifestyle, shopping habits, and tastes/preferences. Now we have proof that there is a demand for our products/services and the information on how to target this market.

3. Get your website up and running and optimize it for the search engines before submitting it. Please see my article for more on this topic.

4. Take the information you gathered in step two and decide how you will place your products/services in front of your niche market.

An additional mistake was submitting my site to the search engines before it was fully optimized. It is much easier to achieve a great ranking if you optimize your site first and then submit it rather than submitting your site and then trying to pull it up to a higher ranking. So how can you optimize your website for a better ranking in the search engines? This is a topic in and of itself and entire books have been written on this subject. Below are four basic steps to get you on the right track. These four steps were taken from Obtaining a #1 Ranking in the Search Engines by Ryan Allis.

I highly recommend this book and it can be found at http://www.search-engines-guide.com/

Four Basic Steps of Page Optimization

1. Select the keywords you want to focus on.

2. Create an optimized page for each of your targeted keywords by having ample page copy, focusing on keyword prominence, and using related page names, proper meta-tags, proper title tags, proper alt-tags, heading tags, and text links.

3. Avoid dynamic database-driven content, JavaScript, keyword spamming, and multiple use of content.

4. Make sure there are lots of web sites linking to yours.

So before you embark on your e-business journey be sure to develop a marketing plan. This plan must be flexible as it will change as your business grows, but it is critical to the success of your business to identify how you will position your products/services to your target market; and remember – optimize your website BEFORE submitting it to the search engines.

Insight Into Your Website

Writen by Tim Wren

Improve your business online... just by reading this article.

Businesses that succeed online understand the importance of analyzing their Web traffic. All the traffic in the world will not mean a thing if you don't have an understanding of what is working and what is costing you money. Do you know what happens when a visitor gets to your site? How many visitors are going to your site? Where do they come from? What pages do they read? What keywords lead to sales? Are your visitors getting lost? You need to ask those types of questions, and we can help you answer them.

It is important to understand that good advertising and a successful Web site are backed by sound data analysis. It is even more important to track Web site behavior patterns, understand navigation patterns, analyze overall site performance and make changes based on your findings.

Capturing metrics, or measurements of potential customer actions, is a key benefit of having an e-presence. Technology has enabled Internet marketers to measure every aspect of their online marketing campaigns and you should take full advantage of it. Analyzing your Web stats can be instrumental for your business success in a number of different ways. This article will help you understand what stats are important and provide some insight into knowing your audience.

Statistics You Want To Pay Attention To:

unique or return visitor – this is a person who visits your site more than once within a specific period of time.

visitor duration – how much time each user spends on your site and on which pages.

page views – what pages most interest your visitors?

referral sites – what other sites are sending you traffic?

history – what hours, days, weeks, months do you receive your heaviest flow of traffic?

search engines – what search engines drive the most traffic to your site?

keywords/phrases – what keywords/phrases drive traffic to your site?

The goal here is to use your Web stats to determine how your site is performing for first-time visitors and return visitors. The visitor duration stat tells you how much time a visitor spends on your site. You may notice visitors are leaving soon after they land on your site. This could be a clue that they are not finding what they are looking for.

Pay special attention to page views. This stat will tell you exactly what pages most interest visitors and can help determine which pages need to be tweaked. Page views will calculate how many visitors viewed a particular page and how many exited through that page as well. If you can see that visitors spend a lot of time on a particular page it may be worth focusing more attention on that page or moving some copy around to cater to these visitors.

Whether you run an online retail store or you use your Web site for informational purposes, it's essential to analyze the performance of keywords that drive traffic to your site. You must identify:

*what keywords generate traffic
*the density of keywords on your site
*how much each keyword costs per click
*what keywords generate page views
*keyword conversions
*ROI

A keyword analysis will help you put your marketing dollars toward the keywords that generate superior results.

Ranking high in the search engines is a goal every business admires but ranking high with poor results is just a waste of money. A full understanding of your search terms, what kinds of visitors they generate and their performance levels will dramatically improve your site's performance and ROI.
