Niche Web Sites An Internet Marketing Opportunity

Writen by Stephen Todd

A great Internet marketing opportunity which many web sites don't take advantage of, is to use niche websites with unique content to supplement their main site.

Many sites do not use this Internet marketing opportunity, but if you use it, then you will gain a significant edge in your quest for quality leads.

There are three key components in this strategy - content, niche sites, and distribution of content.

1. Content

Every web site should contain some unique content – search engines will remove duplicate web sites from their indexes whenever they discover them.

The search engine's ranking algorithm is unique to each search engine, and changes monthly - search engines are continually fine-tuning their computer programs, in order to obtain the ideal search engine results pages.

This makes things difficult for SEO companies, and the best that can be done is to make sure the site has some original, good quality content, some of which changes frequently. This is in addition to the usual SEO and linking strategies.

Why many Websites don't get Top Rankings

One thing that spoils many web sites' chances of top search engine rankings is they cover too much ground with a single web site.

It's much better to have individual niche web sites that can dominate tightly focused keyword searches, than have a single web site that casts a wide net and fails completely.

Websites must be One Theme Only!

Some web sites are quite bizarre, offering music, diet supplements, adult products, dating, etc. when they should obviously be separate sites. How can anyone expect to beat a niche web site with a confused multi-purpose web site?

The way to get the top rankings on the search engine results pages is this – keep the site as tightly focused on a single subject as possible, and do all the SEO stuff as well. As an example:

If you are selling plasma displays, then you should have a web site that only has content for plasma displays. If you try to sell plasma displays and LCD monitors on the same web site, you will not be as successful.

As soon as you also start trying to sell flat screen televisions as well, you make it more difficult to get the top rankings for anything but the lowest value search phrases.

This is the Internet marketing opportunity that many web sites are missing.

2. Niche Collector Sites

A collector site is a niche web site that's tightly focussed on a single subject. Because the site is on a single subject, it is able to get the top rankings – with the help of SEO, .XML feeds, content that changes daily, and various other advanced techniques.

The niche collector site will entice visitors to click though to your primary site, with the lure of "more information", "free newsletter", "free gift", etc.

The end result is visitors to your web site, without making you ditch your content management system, flash, or whatever else is preventing your original site from getting top rankings.

3. Distributing Content for Huge Traffic Flow

One of the best ways to add content to your site is to add original articles, as the articles add themed content to your web site, you may see your own web site start to get top rankings, but this is not the primary purpose of the articles – it's simply a fringe benefit.

Viral Marketing, the Key to High Traffic Volume

The primary purpose of the articles is to spread virally across the Internet. Each article contains a live hyperlink back to your web site, and anyone reading the article will be in a very receptive frame of mind to clicking the link to your site to read more articles – why wouldn't they be?

You've provided them with some very well written information, which is of value to them.

Web site owners will host your articles to attract visitors to their own site, as your articles provide quality content. Your articles will also improve their own site's search engine rankings. You are also allowing them to email the article to their list of newsletter subscribers, and list owners are always looking for content for their newsletters.

The above Internet marketing opportunity is one that any company can take advantage of, and is guaranteed to increase traffic flow.

Dont Tell Me What I Cant Do

Writen by Mike Murray

Have you ever watched ABC's hit TV show Lost? My favorite episode was titled "Walkabout". In it, we learn that the mysterious outdoorsman Locke was actually paralyzed from the waist down before getting on the doomed 815 flight which crashed and, somehow, gave him the use of his legs back.

Locke was actually planning to go on a Walkabout, which is an outdoor adventure. But the leader, seeing Locke's limitation, forbade him to go. Angrily Locke shouted "Don't tell me what I can't do!" We then flash forward to the plane crash, and see Locke on the ground, slowly moving his legs. Then stand up. And walk.

You can probably guess where I'm going with this, but before you write this off as another "motivational" article, stay with me for a minute.

I've had many "Locke Moments" in my life. Although I've never said his line to anyone before, I've sure thought it. When you're born with the umbilical cord wrapped around your neck and barely live, you get used to people telling you what you can't do.

First, doctors told my parents that if I did live I wouldn't be active at all. I'd basically be a vegetable. They told my parents to put me in a home. They didn't listen. "Don't tell us what he can't do!"

So, they took me home and it turned out that mentally, I was fine. I had Cerebral Palsy and doctors said I'd never walk. Well, they were right… for the first 7 years of my life I crawled around on my knees. I went through physical therapy multiple times a week and was quite determined for a kid. At 7 years old, at my grandparents' house, I took my first steps, to everyone's amazement, including myself. "Don't tell me what I can't do!"

As I got older, people urged me to get into technical side of computers and get a good job. I hated that stuff. I wanted to be an entrepreneur. People warned me about this. It's too risky. But I pursued ventures both online and offline, and I've made money in both. In fact, next month I'll be selling a 4-acre piece of land. I'll net $144,000 on the deal. Glad I took that risk. "Don't tell me what I can't do!"

What about you? Do you get ridiculed by your friends and family when you tell them about your Internet dreams? It's very common. The simple fact is that loved ones who do this to you have good intentions. They don't want to see you get hurt, ripped off, or scammed. They just, quite honestly, have no idea what they're talking about.

I've long since giving up on trying to explain what I do online to friends and extended family. Even trying to explain simple concepts such as email marketing can lead to comments such as "Oh, so you spam people?" It's frustrating, to say the least. It hurts because these are the people who you'd expect to be on your side.

Don't let these people get you down. Ask yourself one question: Do I believe that what I'm doing will eventually lead to financial success? Whether it's creating e-books, doing affiliate marketing, making content sites, writing articles, or whatever it may be. If you can honestly say yes, then keep plugging away and never give up.

The next time a loved one says you're crazy for trying to make money online, don't get mad. Don't get defensive. You don't have to defend anything. You know what you're doing. They have no clue. Just think about Locke, getting up from that crash site and walking, and simply say "Don't tell me what I can't do."

A Frugal Internet Marketing Strategy That Works

Writen by Myrna Greenhut

So you finally created the website that your business or brand needs to market globally, but nobody is clicking on your site and the phone never rings. It seems that you have immediately become fodder for those other marketers to sell you their manuals about web marketing, but you might as well have spent your website development money on a gym membership.

Quite simply, there are millions of websites on the Internet, and only a few can have top positions in a search engine. If your company is "top dog" in a significant search engine for the right key words, then your company has arrived. A first page listing in Google or Yahoo on popular words integral to your site should help you bring home the bacon.

For about $4000 upfront, companies like Morevisibility.com and SubmitExpress.com will help move your site up in search engine ranking, if you also invest in pay-per-click advertising. Some good ones to try are the pay-per-click venues that Google and Yahoo or a hosting company like Interland runs. There you can choose some keywords that are ultra-relevant to your site and bid on how much you are willing to pay per click to determine how high up on the sponsor list of links you appear on the right side of well-trafficked pages. Of course, how often is also determined by how much monthly money you can commit to this marketing approach.

A still less expensive and very effective way to tell people about your company website is to use a feature writing service that will write and distribute a feature about a topic which is of interest to people. Within this feature, they will subtly couch a PR mention about your company and your web address. These popular features get distributed to newspapers nationwide – both online and print --and Internet editors at e-zines, newsletters, article directories and search engines. They usually get printed as written, unlike the ordinary press release which often winds up in the garbage.

If you try a newer service like Points of Persuasion Syndicate (P-O-P-S), you will get maximum service, real PR agency savvy and enthusiasm at a price point you cannot beat. When you click on http://www.p-o-p-s.com/info.asp, you can read about the service offered to clients. Then you can hit the Home page at www.p-o-p-s.com and click on the Available Columns link to see some of the features that editors can download for a year or so. P-O-P-S guarantees their features will be downloaded by at least 25 editors in six months, or you get a free second feature. A company spokesperson assures us that the usage has always been much greater than that.

Myrna Greenhut is currently president of P-O-P-S, a service designed to supply incremental newspaper and Internet PR impressions for companies—large and small, Associations and PR agencies. As a consumer product publicist, she has been with numerous independent and advertising affiliated PR agencies like The Rowland Company, Ogilvy & Mather, Cairns & Associates, D-A-Y as well as having done major freelance PR projects for Avon Products Incorporated.

Google Big Brother Or Cash Cow

Writen by Titus Hoskins

When I first started my main website many years ago, little did I know the major role Google would play in its success. Keep in mind, Google has only been around the web since 1998. In the beginning, few realized the small search engine created by Stanford students Larry Page and Sergey Brin, would become a multi-billion dollar company controlling almost all areas of the web.

Google seems destined to dominate the web (aka Shades of Big Brother) for years to come... keeping a close eye on all our Internet activity with large databases tracking our every (abiet aggregate) move. Since privacy has become an antiqued and obsolete word in our ever increasing public world, this can be very disconcerting. And it is not just the web, Google is branching out in so many directions, it will play a major role in our daily lives off-line as well as online.

Regardless of whether you love or hate Google, you must not ignore the importance it will play in the success of your website or sites. As a webmaster you must take full advantage of what Google offers or face an uphill battle. As an online marketer it would be just as unwise not to explore all avenues of this gentle giant.

Years ago, I joined the Google Adsense program where webmasters place the targeted Adsense advertising code on their webpages in order to receive a small share of the advertising revenue. It changed forever how I viewed Google.

As a struggling webmaster and marketer, I have to admit, receiving those Monthly commission checks from Google was a Godsend. They still are. Acquiring a high PageRank and receiving all that free targeted Google traffic is an even greater Godsend. It has put my sites in the black and keeps them producing revenue, month after month.

Google presents a legitimate way of monetising your site or sites. It gives you a monthly cash flow that covers your hosting fees and provides you with a monthly income from your sites. It can be a great starting point for anyone wishing to earn an online income. Google must be explored and utilized to give you this monthly income.

Regular readers will know I like to keep things simple, as simple as possible.

So lets put to one side the very complicated and risky endeavor of using Google Adwords advertising to bring targeted traffic to your site for this usually takes some training and skill to get right. In other words, you have to know exactly what you're doing or you may lose a lot of money. However, if you want to learn more about this advanced Google profit system, the best resource is still Chris Carpenter's Google Cash.

But for now, lets keep things real simple. I always take the simplest route where possible.

Google Cash File

I keep a very popular page on my site called Google Cash File -- it explains my simple methods of working Google to bring in a monthly income. Just simple steps you can take to earn money from Google. You can find the link to this Google page in the Resource Box below. Granted, you can spend money on info products and software but you don't have to, I started with all free information and worked my way up. As I earned more income, I invested some of it in good software like Brad Callen's Keyword Elite... but again, you can use all free programs and resources to earn money from Google.

Here are four revenue sources from Google that I use:

Google Adsense I use Google Adsense code on all my webpages... visitors click on these targeted Adsense ads and I earn a small percentage of the ad revenue.

I also earn by marketing three Google Referral Products through the Adsense program:

Adsense Referral I get $100 for each referral I make to Google, as long as that referral joins Adsense and earns at least $100.

Google Firefox Bar I earn $1 for each referral that downloads the Firefox Browser and then uses the Google Search Bar. Might not sound like much, but this quickly adds up.

Adwords Referral Google will pay me $20 for each Adwords referral that spends $100 on Adwords advertising within 90 days. Another good revenue stream.

If you have a popular site and promote these three Google referral products along with the Adsense code, you will be surprised at how much extra income you can earn each month. Granted, Google is no way as generous as most of my other affiliate programs I promote with my sites but Google is an Easy Sell! People trust Google, people respect Google, but more importantly -- people like using anything Google. This factor simply means more money for you if you take full advantage of Google's referral products.

In the resource box below you will find a link to a page where I have listed all the techniques and methods I use to put Google products on my pages to earn that monthly income. Again, these are very simple steps you can take to make Google pay you each month... so what's keeping you from turning that Big Brother into a wealthy Uncle (aka Cash Cow) who sends you a generous allowance each month. It doesn't get any easier than this.

Online Profits Made Easy

Writen by Duane Marx

Finally here's an easy way to make money online. I'll show you exactly how to make a recurring monthly income of $5,280 in as little as 12 months. And I will use very conservative numbers.

First find and join an excellent company that pays you at least $20 for every person that signs up through your link. Make sure they have great products and an amazing salespage. And preferably a company with a proven track record that's been around for awhile.

Then invest $100 every month promoting your link for this company. You can always invest more if you want to get faster results. Spend this money placing solo ads in ezines that are related to business opportunities. You should be able to get at least 1 new sign-up for every $50 you invest. (This is very a conservative number)

Now keep investing the $100 monthly plus reinvest all your profits that you get from your new sign-ups. You will use this money to send out more solo ads. And just keep repeating this every month. It may be a little slow at first but it will pick up momentum in a few months. And by the end of the year you will be investing and making lots of money.

In fact at the end of 12 months you will have made $17,360 minus $1,200 = $16,160 profit. And you'll be receiving a recurring monthly income of $5,280. Again the above numbers are very conservative. Your results can be a lot better depending on your copy writing skills. (I got 15 new sign-ups my very first month)

Now this is just the beginning. Just think how much more money will you be making by the end of the second and third year?

Be sure to track all your advertisements so you'll know exactly which ezines are good performers. You don't want to waste money sending ads to underperforming ezines.

Also when you find a good ezine you may want to send another ad a week later because you can get as good or better results the second time around.

Another good idea is to communicate with all your sign-ups. Help them anyway you can and show them how they can be successful too.

If you can find someone that has a list of good ezines to advertise in then you can save yourself a lot of time and money.

I believe the hardest and most important step will be finding the right company to promote. Take your time and make sure it's a winner before you start investing your hard earned cash.

How can I be so sure this system will work? I'm glad you asked. It will work because I'm making money doing this right now. And if I can do it then you can do it too.

If you follow these steps you will agree that this really is an easy way to make money online.
