Search Engines And Small Markets

Writen by Halstatt Pires

If your business is focused on a very particular, small market, you are going to love search engines. The more focused you are, the easier it is to win on the engines.

Search Engines and Small Markets

Once you have identified a small market and built a site, you need to start thinking about Internet marketing. Search engines present the best marketing platform on a dollar for dollar basis. There are two specific ways to go about the process.

Pay-per-click advertising on search engines is a great way to immediately reach your target audience. Google Adwords and Overture represent the two best ppc platforms. Place ads using these two platforms and the ads will appear on the search results for Google, Yahoo, MSN, AOL and a host of other search engines.

The second platform for getting in front of your market on the search engines is search engine optimization, better known as seo. The goal in seo is to identify the keyword phrases your prospects are using to find things. You then try to get your site ranked in the top three or four positions when the relevant search engines return results for any of the searches. The upside of seo is you don't pay for advertising and rankings tend to stay high once you achieve them. The downside is it can take a couple of months before you appear high in MSN rankings and up to a year or longer on Google.

Regardless of the approach you take on the search engines, your focus on a small market gives you a huge advantage. By focusing on a lucrative, defined area of the Internet, you have limited the number of competitors you must take on. It is far easier and cheaper to market to "San Diego Mortgage Loans" than going after "Mortgage Loans." The first phrase has a limited number of competitors while the second phrase is contested by huge sites with lots of advertising dollars. To this end, make sure you stick to your area when pursuing your marketing. If you offer services in a location, only advertise for keywords incorporating that location. Having a person three states over call you is just a waste of time.

Adverting for small, defined markets on the search engines is inexpensive compared to general markets. It is also easier and quicker to get seo listings.

The 12 Things All New Internet Marketers Should Know

Writen by John Woon

1) It has been reported that there are about 600,000,000 people on the Net world wide at the moment. And the annual growth of the number of surfers is exponential! You can imagine the potential market for Internet business is immensely huge. The chances of your success in the business online are tremendous. Your journey towards that would be a very exciting and rewarding one indeed.

2) Plan your work and work your plan. Like any other forms of work, you must have a plan for your Internet business. Set an achievable short term, medium term and long term objectives, prepare a budget and stick to them as far as possible. Carry out periodical checking to determine any deviations from the plan and take the necessary remedial actions.

3) Do not ever try to spam i.e. sending unsolicited e-mails to unexpected recipients under any circumstances. I get very annoyed when I find chunks of unwanted e-mails plugging my mailbox resulting in the e-mails from my friends and business associates being "lost" in the midst of these junks mails. The frustrating process of deleting them is enough to drive me through the roof! If you insisted on "spamming", you'd very likely have your name terminated by the server. It is therefore not worth the while because eventually your business would suffer.

4) Do not try to be a Jack of all trades. Choose only a niche product or service or something where your own expertise lies in. Then consolidate your business by focusing on what you do best. Many Internet marketers have developed very enterprising, lucrative and rewarding online businesses doing what they enjoy and love best i.e. hobbies.

5) Respect, understand and always keep abreast with the advance of technology because it could help you achieve your business vision and personal goals. The ever changing technology provides us with countless tools with which we could use to enhance our businesses. A very good example is the advent of BLOGs. The software used for this today is so simple and friendly that old hats with rusty and somewhat retarded brains like me very often find the process of blogging as enjoyable and relaxing as a breezy walk in the park!

6) Design your webpage or blogs with quality content that would exert yourself and your business as an authority in your field. You should have a content that is not only attractive but also informative to advise especially the first-time visitors what benefits they would enjoy from your products or services. It should be able to persuade customers to keep coming back to your website to repeat their orders and convert casual visitors to prospects and prospects to customers.

7) You'd be tempted with countless of seemingly very attractive offers and promises from the Web to help improve your business. Do not fall into the trap of some of these promises. Just stay with a handful of strategies that work and stick with them. For example, if you're submitting articles to drive free traffic to your sites and it's showing positive dividends, stick to it and continue with this strategy while improving and fine-tuning others.

8) By all means, study your competitors, watch their activities and every move. But love thy competitors, not hate them. Do not "knock" them into oblivion. Unlike conventional business, you should always find ways to work along them if not with them. There are many online organizations, big and small, working very closely together even in the same product or service market sectors. Very good examples are the joint venture partnerships and link exchanges among the so-called competitors.

9) Do not be too "innovative" by creating and marketing new and unproven products or services that the market is not willing or ready to buy. Conduct a web research to identify products which command good market and offer them to the hungry and ready market. You could do some modification to improve it in order to have product differentiation and hence enjoying better comparative advantage over your competitors.

10) In Internet marketing, always remember three very important words. They're…LIST, LIST and LIST. Also, do not forget the popular Internet adage "The Gold is in your LIST!" This means that a big chunk of your time, effort and concentration should be directed to getting the right strategy to drive traffic to your site. Advertising is therefore of utmost importance.

11) Although this is a home based business with all the freedom in the world, it's prudent to have some form of discipline. Once you've decided to sit in front of the computer to start working online, you must stay focused and do not allow any distraction to affect your concentration. Treat it as your business and not a hobby. It would be nice to stick to a schedule which is also made known to other members of your family so that they'd know when to leave you alone. However do not get carried away and spend too much time in front of your PC because your loved ones, including your pets also deserve your attention and time.

12) Internet marketing is still one of the best businesses one could venture into especially when there is no demand for big capital outlay. With this huge and expanding audience coupled with the fact that marketing and advertising can be done on the Internet so easily and at only a fraction of the costs of traditional methods, we now have a fantastic opportunity to be successful in online business.

Many companies have now positioned themselves profitably with the Internet which has created many new paradigms in the past few years. Passive incomes are made available to people from all walks of life. You can now make money online with simple and proven formula used by many to earn multiple streams of residual income.

However, like any other conventional businesses, there would be times when you would encounter failures and disappointment. Do persevere as this is not a get-rich-quick scheme. Time, effort and some financial input are necessary. It would take a while to see the fruit of your effort. Use any failures to your advantage by learning from them. See success in every failure and opportunity in every threat.

Explode Your Google Adsense And Affiliate Commissions Through Niche Blog Content Sites

Writen by Cory Threlfall

Content as we know it is the Life-Blood or FUEL, if you will, of the Internet.

That was and still is the Internets sole purpose, except only now it's commercialized, giving the online entrepreneur the world at their fingers tips.

And the facts are that usually when people first come online it's not to go purchase something, it's to look for Information that will answer a question they might have about a particular product they're interested in and/or to a problem they are dealing with and are searching for a solution.

Ask yourself this, "Why do I go online?"

Does it resemble anything like what I just stated?

Only you can answer that.

These are simply the facts with out a doubt... Period!

Now that you have an idea of WHY people come online, I'm now going to explain to you how you can...

"Explode Your Google Adsense and Affiliate Commissions Through Niche Blog Content Sites"

Did you notice the last two words within the quotations?

That's right, Content Sites.

What are Content Sites?

I think it's pretty self explanatory but the basic definition of a Content Site is this - it's a site that contains targeted content that targets a particular niche or many niches.(niche examples: cars, fitness, hobbies, etc.)

Not quite up to speed on what a blog is, here's a quick definition of a blog - a blog(A.K.A. Web-Log) is simply a place to go and post your personal thoughts that you can share with your subscribers and/or readership and receive feedback.

Now that you know the basic definitions of a Content Site and a Blog lets continue.

Content Sites can contain Hundreds-to-Thousands of pages of keyword rich content, which by the way is exactly what the Search Engines love and will come back for if New content is added on a frequent basis giving the owner of that site lots of opportunity to benefit from the Free traffic inwhich the content pages, or what I like to call Feeder Pages, generate.

So, now that you have an idea of what a Content Site and a Blog is it's now time to tell you how you can build your own Niche Blog Content Site Empire, no matter what your niche is, using Blogs, Google Adsense and ClickBank affiliate products.

Bare in mind that the steps outlined below are only going to be a summarization of the actual process involved.

So, with that said, here it is.

Step #1. Set up a Blog.

The first step is quite simple. All you have to do is set up a Blog either through...

Blogger.com - http://www.blogger.com

or...

Wordpress.org - http://www.wordpress.org

This blog your setting up is going to be the foundation of your Niche Blog Content Site and is where the rest of the pieces of the puzzle are going to be added to once you've set it up.

(Quick Tip: Make sure you use your Target Keywords within your URL of your niche blog and in the Title and Description. VERY Important!)

Once you have your niche blog set up move on to Step #2.

Step #2. Adding your Google Adsense code.

Depending on your experience with scripting and html, it's now time to add your Google Adsense code to your new niche blog in 3 strategic places.

Google allows you to add 3 Google Adsense blocks only to one page, no more than that, so I recommend one at the Top, one in the Right or Left sidebar depending on the template you choose and one at the Bottom of your blog.

By doing this your almost forcing your reader to click on a link within the Google Adsense block, which is of course, is exactly what you want and where your going to make the money.

The other great thing about Google Adsense is the ads are targeted to the content that you post, giving the reader even more reason to click through.

Here's a few resources for you that will show you how to add the Google Adsense code to your blog using the services I mentioned above if your not sure how to yourself.

Blogger.com: http://help.blogger.com/bin/answer.py?answer=964

Wordpress.org: http://www.acmetech.com/blog/adsense-deluxe/

Simply follow the instructions and you'll have Google Adsense installed on your niche blog in no time.

Step #3. Find a related ClickBank product.

Now it's time to go shopping at ClickBank.com - http://www.clickbank.com - for a related information product that targets your niche.

Once there click on the link Earn Commissions at the bottom.

This will bring to to their directory where you'll find many products to choose from that will target any niche your blog is about.

(Quick Tip: The first 10 listed under each category are the TOP converting programs, meaning... their the ones making the most money.)

If you don't have a ClickBank.com nickname you'll have to sign up for one. It'll only take you a few minutes.

From there, once you've chosen a program to join your going to want to collect all the affiliate materials available, like Articles, Banners, Text Links, etc., because your going to place these on your NEW niche blog site with your affiliate link linked to them so when your reader clicks on them and decides to buy the related information, you get the commission.

Well... there you have it, 3 steps to "Explode Your Google Adsense and Affiliate Commissions Through Niche Blog Content Sites".

Now the only thing left for you to do is to start building an audience by promoting your Blog.

Here's a few resources for you to get started with.

Ping-O-Matic - http://pingomatic.com

RSS Top 55 - http://www.masternewmedia.org/rss/top55

Remember this is just a summarized version and is only going to give you the basic steps, so good luck to you and your Niche Blog Content Site Empire.

Advantages Of An Internet Home Business Opportunity

Writen by Donovan Baldwin

Every week in every paper across America, you can find the advertisements of companies large and small which are in need of employees. Countless people answer these advertisements, interview, and some are hired. While this is going on, there is a large number of people leaving these companies and getting out of the ratrace. These are ordinary people who have discovered the benefits of working from home. They get out of the hassle and strife of office or factory, enjoy the flexibility and stress-free home business environment, and spend time with their family. Many of these people were able to start their new business and get it up and running, producing income, before they ever quit their regular job.

On its web site at www.sba.gov, the Small Business administration lists the following benefits of owning one's own home based business:

>You will be your own boss.
>Hard work and long hours directly benefit you, rather than increasing profits for someone else.
>Earning and growth potential are far greater.
>A new venture is as exciting as it is risky.
>Running a business provides endless challenge and opportunities for learning.

If you own your own home based internet business, you are joining millions of others who are enjoying the benefits of working from home and being their own bosses. In fact, in today's competitive world, where demands are constantly changing and employment carries with it inherent uncertainty, the trend towards creating a home based business is increasing at a fantastic rate, as more individuals realize the opportunity that is theirs, and businesses recognize network marketing and multi-level marketing as legitimate means of creating sales and expanding their customer base. Additionally, the growth of the internet and internet business opportunities has vastly expanded the field for the beginning entrepreneur.

In fact, the internet and the technology associated with it has opened new vistas for home based internet business projects that once might have been considered impossible. Operating a business online gives anyone the opportunity to work anywhere, anytime with the freedom provided by nearly universal internet access.

Internet business opportunity abounds with home jobs, affiliate businesses, and other ventures, but it is important that you match the program to your personality, skill level, experience, and personal needs and situation.

There are lots of very great home business opportunities, home jobs, affiliate businesses, Internet business opportunity ventures, but it is important for you to find the right program that fits your personal situation and also fits your skills and experience. In his book, "Small Business Management", Michael Ames lists several reasons why small businesses fail, and "lack of experience" is one of the major factors. Interestingly enough, many of the other reasons, such as poor business location, lack of funds, etc., do not have as great an impact in an internet business than in a brick and mortar business, another argument for chosing to begin an internet business.

It is easy to recognize the benefits of having your own work from home business. We have touched on the financial benefits and personal freedom, as well as the opportunity to live the lifestyle you desire. Having your own internet home based business should be fun. Being your own boss, setting your own schedule, and choosing the structure and future of your business can all be rewarding, but it is possible to overstress and overwork as in any other job. Spending all your time on your business can be detrimental to your enjoyment of life in general, and can jeapordize relations with family and friends.

Whether you decide to work part time or full time, simply starting your home business will begin to instill in you the true feelings of freedom as you work to your own schedule, and become your own boss. Once the business is begun, the opportunity to work when and where you choose will show you the true value of owning your own work at home interne business.

These types of businesses have the additional benefit that they can be started and grown to a rewarding size without immediately quitting your job or making significant changes in your life or relationships.

Below are a few reasons for investigating the possibility of starting an internet business that you can work from home.

1. You can be your own boss and be the direct recipient of the benefits of your hard work. This can also put you on the path to personal and financial freedom, allowing you to achieve your goals and realize your dreams.

2. This will be an opportunity to create a global business, linking to hundreds of companies and millions of customers worldwide.

3. If you are like most people, you don't want to sell things to family, friends and neighbors. In fact, you don't want to sell at all, at least not face to face. Fortunately, the internet offers the opportunity to sell to a worldwide market without ever facing a single customer. Additionally, many businesses have set up multi-level marketing structures that allow you to build a network of people who build their own work from home business, and you share in the profits of their successes.

4. The old saying is, "Keep doing what you've been doing and you will keep getting what you've been getting". You recognize the need to change to get something better than what you've been getting. In addition to increased income, decreasing taxes, and gaining control over your life and experiencing direct reward for your efforts in your home business will lead to greater self esteem and opportunity for personal growth and self-improvement.

5. You can do this without door to door sales. No postage. No printing. No brochures. No tapes. No videos. No long distance calls, but by instant internet communication worldwide. Save loads of money in an Internet home based opportunity. This aspect makes these opportunities priceless.

6. Working online from home allows you to try many projects. Taking on several will give you the opportunity to follow ideas and test new areas. This is great as long as don't expand beyond your capabilities.

7. Developing an international internet business allows you to meet and interact with entrepreneurs and individuals such as yourself from all over the world. These contacts can be invaluable from either a personal or professional standpoint.

8. Many of these businesses not only can help you establish estates which can be passed on to your loved ones, many offer the opportunity to pass the business itself as part of your estate. A business with a good residual income program can keep providing your loved ones with income for years upon your death, or can provide a fine retirment income even if you curtail or cease your business activities.

Make Money Online With Low Web Site Traffic

Writen by Christopher Kyalo

Anybody can make money online with low web site traffic. It is actually easier than you think.

The vast majority of web sites and blogs online qualify to be classified as low traffic and most folks have resigned their low traffic status to also mean low income. So rather than trying to make money from their existing online traffic they are busy trying to build their traffic overnight. Building traffic overnight so that you move from a low traffic site to a high traffic site in no time at all, is a pipe dream. It is a much better strategy to build your traffic at a realistic rate and to then meanwhile cash in on the traffic you already have. The truth of the matter is that it is very possible to turn any low traffic site into a super high income money making site.

One of the major problems with many site owners who own low traffic sites is that they tend to behave as if they are the owners of high traffic sites. This means that the tips and advice that they take in most of the time are actually designed and meant for reasonably high traffic sites. Little wonder that most of them end up very frustrated.

Just to give an example, many webmasters apply for affiliate programs that can only work for very high traffic sites. The people running these affiliate programs never bother to advice new and potential affiliates that without a certain level of traffic, the program will not work for them. The reason for this is simple. Quite often the main objective for many web sites running affiliate programs is to get as many links pointing to their sites as possible. This usually has a huge impact in terms of the site's SEO (search engine optimization).

And the very low traffic they end up with from most of the low traffic sites that sign up for their program tends to add up quickly to very high traffic coming in from numerous little frustrated web masters. Site owners who will never make any money from their low traffic web sites no matter what effort they put in.

Proper Internet Advertising

Writen by Ralph Tagoni

Making money online is really very easy. The difference between making a couple hundred a month and a couple thousand is moderate but both are still very easy. The difficulty only comes into play when you're trying to really make it big, and it's still not difficult just time consuming. Part of the reason it's time consuming, probably the biggest part, is because you're one fish in a sea of lots of big stupid fish. These big stupid fish may not intentionally waste your time, but you'll find they still do it quite often. For example I'm here writing an article for this eZine, which I searched for on Google. Take a guess at how many "How to use eZine" sites I found before I finally found an actually site to post an article. If you actually said a number out loud and it was higher than one hundred, you're right, one hundred is where I stopped counting. It's like those seagulls in Finding Nemo. Someone gets a good idea and the masses try to copy that idea in a half-assed way, they don't make significant money but they manage to prevent others from being successful. Every time I want to find something on the internet I have to make my way through the garbage to get to what I really want.

Spammers are the biggest time wasters, how many emails have you got that tell you to buy Viagara, now count how many times you've purchased Viagara through this scum. I bet the first number is high and the second number is zero. Who buys Viagara or penis lengtheners from a spam email? How are these people making money? It baffles me that either people are wasting their own time making the rest of our lives that much more difficult, or there are people who actually buy things from spam, either way I'm disappointed.

Don't get me wrong there are many successful advertisements out there are well, the problem is determining what's a scam and what's not. Here are just a couple tips to help you out if you're interested. Look for a guarantee, make sure you get some kind of contact info, even an email address, don't spend your life savings whatever you do. A hundred bucks may hurt but you'll get over it if you lose that, you won't so easily get over a five thousand dollar investment, spend wisely, and if you do get ripped off consider it a learning experience.

Wake up and find out how to really use the internet.

The Only Way To Make Money On The Internet

Writen by Deanna Mascle

There really is only one way to make money on the internet -- sales.

Really it is the truth. Of course there are a lot of different variations in how and what you sell on the internet and another dramatic difference is the lack of the dreaded cold-calling forced on so many traditional sales folks.

At first glance your choices are pretty straightforward:

~ Sell other people's products

~ Sell your own products

~ Sell yourself

~ Sell space on your web site, blog, or publication

Then things start to get complicated.

Even something as simple as selling products created by others takes on some unique twists on the internet and can quickly lead to complicated decisions. This choice falls into four main areas:

~ Selling as an affiliate to earn commission on each sale (you deliver customer to vendor)

~ Selling unlimited electronic products as a reseller to earn 100% profit on each sale (you are directly involved in sale)

~ Selling a limited number of products you bought at wholesale to earn the difference between your cost and the sale price (you are directly involved in sale)

~ Selling as a drop shipper to earn a percentage of each sale (you are the middle man in transaction)

Each method offers its own blend of benefits and drawbacks and you need to decide which suits your experience, time, and interest.

Selling your own products can be complicated as well by the need to organize issues such as payment processors and affiliate programs and advertising as well as customer service.

Selling yourself offers advantages in that you don't need to deal with many of the problems involved in products -- such as payment processors, large numbers of customers and all the complications that entails -- but it can also be limiting (you only have so many hours in the day to accomplish the tasks or jobs that you take on) and requires the need for regular promotion to build and maintain your client base.

Finally selling advertising such as banners or text links or offering contextual or pay-per-click or pixel advertising can be a much simpler method of earning money but in order to earn a decent income from this source you must continually work to build and promote your web site, blog, and/or publication. Web sites and blogs that don't consistently offer new, quality content quickly slip in search engine status and the loss of traffic then income follows even faster than you can say search engine optimization.

That is just a quick overview of the income opportunities available to you on the internet. Good luck with your new internet business whichever choice you make.

The Power Of Viral Marketing

Writen by Peter Dobler

When I first heard of the term Viral Marketing I thought immediately of a virus. No, not the flu, a computer virus. I avoided viral marketing like the plaque. I'm sure many of you are doing the same thing. Every email labeled viral marketing got trashed and I immediately run an anti virus check on my computer.

It actually took me long time and the convincing words of a dear friend of mine to change my attitude towards viral marketing. Call it ignorance, but I just didn't have the confidence in something that sounds like it wants to harm me.

Today my whole world changed and now I'm an active advocate to promote viral marketing. The concept is not new and it was created by the brightest minds in the business.

Viral marketing capitalizes in the sharing habits of the human beings. It's quite extraordinary. We all tent to share with friends and family the bargains or freebies we were able to get. If we can copy the freebie we will do it and give it to our friends and family. Take the music industry as an example.

Ok, we established that viral marketing is giving out free stuff and that this free stuff will be passed around. So how do you capitalize on something everybody expects to get for free? You don't. You just use the freebie as an advertising vehicle.

See, once you started giving out software or a book for free, it will snowball from there. Granted that the software is any good and the book provides some value. There is no telling on how many copies of your software or book will float through the internet. The only thing you now for sure, it takes some time to gain momentum.

Take Hotmail as an example. Hotmail build its empire solely on viral marketing. Every email you send had a little line at the end advertising free email from Hotmail. That's it. No expensive marketing strategy, no TV ads, nothing but a little advertising line at the end of every email. It took years of building momentum, but today Hotmail is a giant pulling in billions of dollars every year.

I'm not expecting to repeat Hotmail's success with my little viral marketing project, but I'm convinced that sooner or later the profits will come. It is simply a matter of time. All you need is a good product that you control and be able to give out for free. Make sure that you will be able to place your advertising on the front page of the product.

You can advertise your newsletter, your web site, products you're selling, anything you will make a profit if somebody clicks through the advertising on the freebie. I spare you with the details why the same ad advertised through viral marketing is so much more effective than regular advertising.

Just one thought. Would you click on a single ad embedded in a software or book send to you by a friend you trust? Of course you would. There is nothing suspicious about this. It's your friend who recommended this in the first place. On the other hand nobody actually clicks on advertising popping up on strange web sites you never heard of before.

Now you see why I like viral marketing so much. Quite frankly I believe in the future it is the only marketing that works. SPAM filters and popup blockers already make it almost impossible to get through to our prospects and it will not get any better.

Prepare your self for the future and implement viral marketing today. You will be glad you did.

Sincerely,
Peter Dobler

Double Your Revenues With Joint Ventures

Writen by Glen Hopkins

The best way I know of to multiply your online results, such as doubling the size of your opt-in email list, or increasing your sales, is through the use of joint ventures.

Joint ventures are partnerships created with other reputable business people that create a win-win situation for not only you and the person you partner with, but also your customer!

A great example of a joint venture that can be used to double the size of your opt-in subscribers overnight, is to partner with another publisher who publishes a newsletter for a related, but not competing, product or service as yours. This is called co- registration.

Here's how you do it. Create a subscription page for your newsletter. Once the visitor subscribes to your ezine, have them automatically forwarded to a 'Thank You' page that offers your partners ezine along with a recommendation. The recommendation will greatly improve the response you get so give your partner a good one.

Now all you have to do is have your partner do the same thing. Provided you are both generating approximately the same amount of new subscribers per day, you will DOUBLE your subscription rate!

This technique can be done with simple programming or the use of a pop-up window. You can find the script for a pop-up window at: http://wsabstract.com/popwin/index.shtml. To see a sample of how I use this technique check out: http://www.jokeboy.net - You will notice, I have modified the technique a little to suit my needs. What I have done is forward the subscriber to my content-related, ezine subscription page, where other publishers pay me to collect thousands of subscribers for them every month. To learn more about this service visit: http://www.listopt.com/lbsignup.html.

The second type of joint venture is in the form of a personal endorsement that each partner sends out to his respective ezine readers. This technique will yield you amazing results.

What you want to do is work out a deal with your joint venture partner whereby you can offer his subscribers a special offer or discount for your product or service. By doing this, your partner wins because in the eyes of his readers he is making them an exclusive offer (and therefore, the subscriber wins too). Your partner may also reap the rewards of any referral fees you might give him. And you win because of all the new business that is generated for you for free!

Below is a sample of my latest joint venture endorsement letter that a partner of mine sent out to her entire subscription list. I in turn sent out a similar letter to my subscribers. The letter will give you a clear picture of how you can implement this technique right away.

******* SAMPLE JOINT VENTURE LETTER *******

Dear friend,

Why would a publisher of a Joke Ezine write to you about a subscriber acquisition service?

It's because I felt it was so important that you find out about The ListOpt List Builder Service. You know there aren't too many businesses nowadays that meet your expectations, let alone exceed them. But ListOpt Publications has done just that.

And that's why I wanted to personally introduce you to Glen Hopkins, the owner of ListOpt Publications.

And since I'm always on the look out for great deals for my valued subscribers, friends, and fellow ezine publishers, I asked Glen if he could let me do something special for you. After a bit of "friendly persuasion" he agreed!

So here's the deal: When you join The ListOpt List Builder Service and forward this letter to Glen, you'll get $5.00 added to your account credit. I've attached information below so you could see what Glen has to offer.

Take a look at it and then contact Glen at glen@listopt.com right away. You'll be glad you did.

Sincerely,

Your Name

Customers Attracting Them

Writen by Justine Curtis

The name of the game is targeting.

Your web designer, having analysed the data from tracking system they have set up for the last process, will be able to tell you what key phrases your customers have typed in, which pages of your web site were the most popular and therefore which products or services have attracted your best customers.

There are several tried and tested ways you can attract targeted visitors to your web site. There are no hidden secrets but plenty of tried and tested and genuine, effective methods that will increase your targeted traffic and therefore your profitability.

Attracting New Customers

Before you start spending vast amounts of time and money attempting to attract new customers to your business, first take a long hard look at your web site with your ideal (top 20%) customer in mind. Is it easy to find the products and services they are buying? What key phrases did they type in to find your business type, can you see those key phrases clearly on your page and are they in text rather than graphics? This is imperative to obtaining high "organic" search engine listings. For more information, see our guide "Start at the Beginning" a link to all our guides can be found at the end of this article.

Once the design and layout of your web site is in order, i.e.: customer focussed, easily navigable, optimised for both search engines and customer use, you are ready for the full on Attracting New Customers assault!

There are many options including:

Pay Per Click advertising
Select the Pay Per Click search engine of your choice. Sign up for an account and start by using the key phrases your web designer had identified. You can type these into the suggestion tool at your desired PPC engine for more variations that their users are currently searching on.

For an in-depth guide to setting up and managing your Pay Per Click advertising, see our guide "Maximising Your Pay Per Click Campaign" a link to all our guides can be found at the end of this article.

Online Newsletter Adverts
When using newsletter adverts place them in publications that are related to your market and have subscribers who would be interested in your product or service. You can find appropriate online newsletters in ezine directories and as you are probably subscribed to a few specific to your industry already - start with these.

Website Adverts
For website adverts, use the key phrase list you made for your pay per click marketing. Starting with the key phrase that gets the most visits per day, do a search at a search engine. Assuming that your web site isn't listed in all the top 20 places, research the first ten to twenty web sites looking for any information which indicates that they sell advertising space on their website, like 'Advertise With Us'. If you don't see any advertising information look for a 'Contact' page or email address and send a message asking if advertising is sold on their website and if so then what is the cost and where can your advert be placed. Once you've finished this research, choose where to place your ads.

Search Engine Optimisation
To find information online most people go to the search engines first. If you're not listed in at least the first two pages of search engine results for your keywords, then you're missing out on a lot of free targeted website traffic. This is a topic covered extensively in our DIY Internet Marketing Guide "Start At The Beginning" a link to all our guides can be found at the end of this article.

Article Writing
Another way to increase website traffic is by writing articles for your targeted market and submitting them to article directories and online newsletter editors. Your increased website traffic will come from the resource box at the end of your articles. The resource box is like a 4 to 6 line advert telling your readers who you are and encouraging them to seek more information on your web site by clicking on your website link, which you will need to provide.

One advantage of article writing, beside the free increased website traffic, is that it will make you an expert in the eyes of your readers. This will increase your credibility and your readers trust in you causing them to open their minds and wallets to your recommendations.

For more information about establishing yourself as an expert in your field, download out guide "Building Online Relationships" a link to all our guides can be found at the end of this article.

These are the 5 most tried and tested techniques for increasing targeted visitors to your web site. They are not hidden secrets, they're nothing new, but they are used everyday by web site owners whose web sites are successful and profitable. So start using one of the techniques today and see how it goes, then try another.

Next month we will be looking at some more "Out-of-the-box" ideas for attracting targeted customers.

What The Heck Does Vincent Van Gogh Have To Do With Internet Marketing

Writen by Titus Hoskins

Nothing and Everything!

Tucked discreetly away on my modest marketing website is a copy of a Vincent van Gogh portrait I created for a charity fund raiser some years back. A few of the people who have stumbled upon it have sent me puzzling emails -- van Gogh and Internet Marketing? What's the connection?

It all boils down to stubborn old learning habits that never die!

Let me explain -- I am trained as an artist -- one of the best ways to learn how to draw or paint is to copy the Masters. Spend a few hours copying a van Gogh, a Monet or a Durer and you will learn more in those few hours than months spent in the classroom pouring over color theories, composition charts, and paint mixtures.

Learn by seeing thru the eyes of the Masters!

They have been there, done that, and they have solved all the major problems for you. It works perfectly and artists have been learning this way for centuries.

When I first started internet marketing I applied the same method. (Did I mention I was Stubborn!) A few hours studying the Masters -- their techniques, their marketing tools, their mindsets -- saved me and they will save you from months (if not years) of trial and error.

Study the masters first-hand and you will gain a more complete and broader understanding of the different marketing techniques, methods, and systems that these marketers apply. Spending a few years studying the top marketers may pay big dividends down the road when you apply all this knowledge to lesser known marketing niches.

Many may cringe at this suggestion, spend two or three years studying top marketers, you're got to be joking! Not really, it's where that old artist training comes in -- artists spend a lifetime studying the masters. And never regret a minute of it!

But just how do you find these Marketing Masters?

Finding the Masters was the hardest part! With so many proclaimed and self-proclaimed 'gurus' on the web; finding the genuine article among all the 'bovine deposits' was extremely difficult.

However, it wasn't long before one name kept popping up, again and again.

Mark Joyner!

Like him or hate him -- no one can dispute that he is 'the' master of internet marketing. Many of today's marketing techniques such as ad tracking, pre-selling, email marketing, guerrilla tactics, etc. were invented or perfected by Joyner.

In or out of internet marketing, Joyner is still a major force that's worth some serious study. Many people try to discredit him but basically, 'he wrote the book' on internet marketing. A few hours studying him and his methods will save you from months of trial and error.

John Reese!

Another name that keeps popping up -- John Reese. This is another marketing expert that delivers the 'goods' -- and the key lies in one word 'traffic'. Traffic is the lifeblood, heartbeat, and main factor that will make or break any internet website. It's the basic reason for the success of any website.

Reese has figured out how to deliver traffic to any site on the web. But before you jump and buy some of his Traffic Secrets products -- think twice. Is there a better way to get the information!

Please don't get me wrong, if you have the money and are short press for time -- by all means, go buy his products!

However, if you're on a budget and have some time on your hands -- why not go first-hand and study his sites, newsletters, blog, etc. Pick them apart piece by piece and you will discover his real 'secrets'. But more importantly you will have a better understanding of them.

Study the structure and layout of his sites, and see what techniques he uses and simply apply them to your own websites and marketing methods.

Google to the Rescue!

If you're really new to internet marketing, you may be wondering, how do I find these masters, their sites, or their products even? Just use Google and you will find the links you need to get you started.

Perhaps, a simple illustration of my own marketing study system would be helpful. Artists love techniques and it's the technique or method of learning that's important here. Once you have figured out a way to study the marketing masters -- all the other pieces will fall into place.

Here's a simple system I use, as mentioned above, traffic is the key to any website's success. Therefore, it would be beneficial for me or anyone to seek out a top SEO (Search Engine Optimization) expert and study him or her.

I used Google to find out who has the top listing/ranking for SEO products and Internet Marketing products in general. One site and one name kept popping up in the number 1 position over and over again. Mike's Marketing Tools run by SEO expert Michael Wong.

I went in and started studying his site's layout, its linking structure, etc. -- this guy knows what he's doing and he has the rankings to prove it.

Then I just copied his linking structure and applied it to my own sites. Please note, I am not talking about 'copying per batum' of any source code or material -- that's against the law. But rather the overall design, layout, structure and then taking that information and applying it to my own sites.

Three or four days spent studying this master's sites have given me a wealth of information that I have applied to my own sites and it's information that I will be able to use for years to come.

This is just one example of how you can use this old artist training technique to help you learn more about internet marketing. There are many more masters out there, seek them out and study them. Your marketing results will thank you!

And by the way, the van Gogh is still neatly tucked away on my site. It's a matter of learning. He's my constant reminder -- if you want to succeed online -- copy the Masters.

The Next Big Internet Marketing Thing

Writen by William Lee

It's always interesting to watch the coming and going of Internet marketing trends; watching concepts become popular, saturate the market and then tail off. Wouldn't it be great to be able to 'get in on the ground floor' with some of the emerging trends and sell bandwagons instead of jumping onto them with everyone else?

Perhaps, what you need to do is to look at past examples of popular concepts and consider how you could have spotted them. A couple, for example:

Article Directories

As the realisation of the search engine/link popularity benefits of syndicated content was spreading across the Internet, many Internet marketers were hungry to have the next Ezine Articles or Article City under their belts as a viral tool that could power their own websites forever more.

Anticipating this demand, savvy marketers created article directory scripts to satisfy the needs of would-be editors, just like those tool makers who supplied pickaxes and shovels during the gold rush.

I've witnessed at least half-a-dozen different products all offering their own flavour of article directory and the prices of such scripts has fallen dramatically. Now, article authors have a very wide choice of directory to submit to with many serving very specific niches.

Interestingly, this boom of article directories has created a new type of service; automated article submission to multiple directories e.g. iSnare.com.

Yet another example of perpetual Internet marketing!

Pixel Advertising Websites

Ever since Alex Tew's Million Dollar Home Page hit the headlines, millionaire wannabes have been emailing advertisers with their own take on the concept. Without the originality and the media attention, the real money makers are the suppliers of pixel advertising websites. Again, another great example of how to take advantage of a trend by supplying tools for those who wish to follow it.

So What's The Next Big Thing?

Maybe it's not the very next thing, but creating software products that solve people's problems or gives them what they want is always going to be a big hitter. With some of the product that I'm seeing at the moment, creating your own software application is going to become a lot more popular in the next 12 months. Already, people are selling guides to making your own software application to sell to other people… Again, it's perpetual Internet marketing.

Perhaps you'd like to commission your own software application, but just don't have any ideas of problems that need solving? Unsurprisingly, there are products that can help steer your imagination.

Free Internet Secrets That Will Instantly Drive Up Your Traffic And Sales

Writen by Christopher Kyalo

The following 3 secrets revolutionized my life. For years I had tried everything I knew with no success. It didn't matter that offline I was a very successful marketing expert, online success remained elusive. The moment I discovered these three secrets things changed dramatically for me.

So why am I revealing them to you?

Good question. The facts are that lots of people are already using them and making lots of cash and keeping quiet about it. The thing about the net is that you can't keep a secret for very long. Besides I have plenty to gain if you remember me as the person who was most responsible for changing your online fortunes. It means I'll be able to sell you lots of stuff in future. The PR spin doctors will tell you that I am trying to position myself in a certain way in the minds of the public. For profitable reasons of course.

So here are the 3 secrets.

1) Well written articles People on the net are always ignoring this one. Boring plain articles will do nothing for you. But well written, useful articles with valuable information that solves problems will do everything for you. Many times I've posted an article at one site and then done a google search a few weeks later to realize it has already been re-posted in dozens of other sites. One sales enquiry I received today via email had a url link to the site where the nice man had seen my article. I'd never heard of it before and yet 1192 persons have already viewed it.

2) It's a numbers game When I first started using articles, I didn't think of the numbers involved. And a lot of people who may have posted one or two articles and forgotten all about it may be making exactly the same mistake I made. I wrote one article and sat back waiting for a response. I still got it (after about 3 weeks) but I soon got wiser.

You must have heard all those statistics about what kind of traffic a web site needs to be successful. All sorts of crazy numbers have been thrown around ranging from 500 to over 2,500 hits PER DAY. Now how does a site get numbers like those without spending the national deficit on advertising?

With articles it's no problem. Here is the math.

Supposing your article is viewed just twice every day at a certain web site. If you post the same article to only 20 similar sites, you'll have 40 hits per day. You need only 20 articles to get 800 hits per day.

And don't forget my point number one. If your article is half useful, they'll be a viral effect. In a few short weeks, one listing can yield dozens of other postings. If you add 12 to the math above you get 9,600 hits PER DAY.

The lesson here is that you have to keep on producing new articles and posting them all the time. I recommend a minimum of 3 new articles every month.

3) Ebay about me page When you add this secret to secret number one and two, you'll break the bank – guaranteed.

Ebay has well over 1.5 billion page views per month. There are well over 40,000 people who sign up for Ebay every day - Sunday included.

Of course there's serious money to be made from the auctions or by selling something with a fixed price. But you can profit on Ebay even if you are not selling anything. You can use the About me page to put in all sorts of information including a link to your web site. Just by learning how to do this, you can dramatically increase traffic to your web site or even to your posted articles. This highly targeted traffic is bound to yield sales for you, whatever it is you are selling.

I found Brian McGregor's ebook, "The Ebay Formula," extremely useful in helping me understand how to use Ebay to drive my traffic and profits. You can get the ebook by emailing me at the email address in the resource box.

In conclusion I would like to assure you that with these 3 secrets, you can make lots of money online, even if you do not have a web site. I'll let you into a fourth secret. I don't have a web site myself. Too much work and expense to maintain. But I make money without one. But that is the subject of another article. And besides, imagine what you can do, you who has a web site.

Internet Marketing The Vital Ingredient

Writen by Penelope Housden

Having created a wonderful website in order to sell your product, you now need the means to entice your visitors to actually buy. For this, you need two vital things. Firstly, you need to capture the names and email addresses of visitors to your website and, secondly, you need to be able to communicate with them. Make sure you have a mechanism in place for this before you start promoting anything online.

Research has shown that it takes 7 visits to your sites, or communications with, a potential customer before they will be tempted to buy something from you. Without the means to do this, you will have missed a golden opportunity to make money. Building up a mailing list is vital to your new business.

The essential tool required is an autoresponder. The autoresponder will capture names and email addresses from your website (the start of your mailing list) and then allow you to send targeted emails out to those people. It manages your database of potential customers. A section on the autoresponder can generate the HTML code for a sign-up form to place on your website, which then directs those visitors' names and email addresses to a particular campaign in your autoresponder. You can have several campaigns running at the same time if you wish.

But, you may ask, who would just give you their name and email address? By giving away something free and of value on your website, such as a report, eBook, or mini-course, people will be tempted to subscribe. Giving away free information really works.

Within your autoresponder, you can set up pre-programmed messages to send to your potential customer, such as an initial and instant message and a link to a page where they can download their free report or get more information. Then follow up with further email messages with extra and more persuasive information at different intervals, 2 days later perhaps, then 5 days after that, and so on, and all will be dispatched automatically by your autoresponder.

In this way, you can send out emails for a planned marketing campaign to entice them to buy your product. And because your customers have voluntarily signed up, your emails will not be considered as spam, but value their privacy and don't pass their names and addresses to anyone else.

As you build up your mailing list of names and email addresses from your website visitors, and the number grows, why not send out a broadcast email from your autoresponder when you release a new product? Many of those who bought your first product may well buy from you again. You can sell to your list over and over again, but don't overdo the frequency, and give enough of an interval between products, otherwise you will turn your customers off!

Alternatively, you may like to send your mailing list a regular newsletter of interesting snippets of information – this is also possible with your autoresponder.

One tip: if you can pay for an autoresponder service, all the better. The free ones tends to place adverts on the messages you send out, which may not look professional to your customer.

So for real and profitable success in your Internet Marketing business, get yourself an autoresponder and subsequently a mailing list. It's your vital ingredient! Good luck!

Ebook Review The Definitive Guide To Google Adwords

Writen by Sunil Rajan

Never before has it been possible to spend five bucks, open an account and have brand new, precisely targeted customers coming to your website within minutes.

But with Google Adwords, you can do exactly that. Now, let us first know what is Google Adwords?

What is Google Adwords ?

Pay per click (PPC) marketing is a miracle of the modern world. It has proved to be the most important development in advertising. In comparison to banner ads, link exchanges, buying space in e-zones, waiting weeks or months for search engine listings to show up, ADWORDS is a web marketer's dream come true. Adwords is the fastest way to bring new customers to a cash- hungry business.

Advertising on Google is not a cakewalk in the beginning. You can set up an account and get visitors in as little as seven minutes…. But a day or later, your bids get cancelled, ads get disapproved and you pay way too much for clicks.

Writing an effective and profitable Google Adwords is one of the most difficult, yet important tasks that contribute to the ultimate success in online keyword advertising on Google. Normally, nobody likes to write ads. It is a painstaking process that takes hours of tedious work. The only people who like to write sales copy are those really expensive copywriters that charge you an arm and a leg for it.

While Google Adwords were at one time a very easy way to get quick, cheap targeted traffic, its success has rendered it a bit saturated. To counteract the increasing prices, Perry Marshall has developed methods to get smarter and smarter about finding good keywords and using them to target your traffic.

Perry Marshall developed a comprehensive toolkit called 'The Definitive Guide To Google Adwords' detailing how to effectively use Google Adwords. This eBook will take you by the hand and lead you step by step giving case studies and personal examples, to understanding and benefiting from enormous power of Google Adwords. It helps the Internet storeowner to increase his/her traffic and sales easily and instantly.

First, let us have a little background as to who is Perry Marshall and why would you trust him to teach you about Google Adwords?

Who is Perry Marshall?

Perry Marshall (also known as Perry S. Marshall) has used Internet marketing to grow a quasi-start-up business 2000 percent, which later sold for $18M. Perry Marshall had sold millions of dollars of products on the web since 1997, when he was national sales manager at a hi-tech start-up in Chicago. He started advertising on Google before most people could do that. His clients' websites would go from zero traffic to hundreds or thousands of visitors each day overnight. Since then, he has become one of a tiny handful of experts on this new advertising medium. Now, he consults with dozens of companies in software, publishing, manufacturing and information marketing.

The reasons why you should trust him to teach you about Google Adwords :

  • He has been in the business of generating more business for years. While Adwords may be new, direct marketing is not & Perry has been in the marketing & promotion business for years.
  • He was one of the first to publish a book on Google Adwords.
  • As Googles is treacherous at first, it punishes uneducated marketers and rewards smart ones. So, Perry wrote a 5-day email course to help you beat the system fast. He discovered how to consistently pay less for your Google traffic than everyone else – while getting more clicks to your site. You can sample his expertise with a free e-mail course on Google Adwords and then decide if his expertise will be valuable to you.
  • Perry is known as 'Google Adwords King'. Perry has marketed products such as ebooks, computer hardware, health products and $50,000 software licenses. His articles have been published in major electronic and industrial trade journals. Perry's products include The Definitive Guide to Google Adwords, The Definitive Guide to Writing & Promoting White Papers, and The Perry Marshall Marketing System. The Definitive Guide to Google Adwords is a self-help course on how to drive more visitors and pay less for each one on the Google Adwords pay per click advertising program. Now, we shall see as to what is this product and why should we trust it in detail?

  • Book Description

The Definitive Guide to Google Adwords is the least expensive of Perry Marshall's products, the most down to earth written, and by far the most popular.

It is an excellent ebook and has the fastest way to beat the leaning curve, get new customers and put more dollars in your pocket. This ebook is 205 pages long and comes in a password protected PDF format.

    Viral Marketing

    Writen by Rajitha Dahanayake

    What is Viral Marketing?

"Viral marketing is word of mouth marketing on the web. In other words it is the "e" term for word of mouth marketing."

Viral marketing was born in 1996. Viral marketing messages receive 5 –15% click through rate. 57% say word of mouth or viral marketing is their main source of information about new websites.

    The Classic Example…

The classic example of viral marketing is Hotmail.com, one of the first free Web-based e-mail services. E-mails sent using this service contain an advertisement for Hotmail at the bottom of the message.

    Power of Viral Marketing…

This medium could be used to spread the word about your business among the target audience. The essence of it is that you empower visitors to your website to tell other people about your company and your site. You provide something that encourages people to spread the word, and momentum builds. What's great about viral marketing is that it is low effort and low expense.

Viral marketing is more powerful than third-party advertising and you can expect a good conversion rate because it conveys an implied endorsement from a friend. People who visit your website as a result of viral marketing will have good impression about your company or the product because someone has recommended it to them.

    Forms of Viral marketing…

We can identify two most common forms of viral marketing as service and incentive based models.

    Service Based

In the service based model consumer has to spread the information about the company or the product to his / her friends in order to get the service.

Netscape Instant messaging is an excellent example of a service-based model. Also some search engines and directories use this model to list websites. Some companies use this model to provide access white papers.

    Incentive Based

Incentive-based models provide consumers cash, credit, or other rewards for spreading company information to friends. This model is encouraging people to spread the message actively because of the incentives. Incentive based viral marketing campaigns will cost more than the service-based campaigns.

    Viral Marketing methods and techniques…

Viral Marketing works best in combination with e-Mail marketing, since e-Mail marketing provides Viral Marketing with a great communication medium. You can use e-mail to spread the message. This could be done by sending e-mail messages to individuals or by joining e-mail discussion groups. Most of the service based viral marketing campaigns are using e-mail as the main technique.

Another medium to carry out your viral marketing campaign is through message boards and discussion forums. It is important to identify message boards and discussion forums relevant to your industry, product or service. By participating in these message boards and discussion forums you can create awareness of your company among the target audience.

Writing articles is one of the powerful ways to spread your message. All you need to do is allow people to republish it for free, as long as they include a paragraph at the end of the article containing details of your company. This method is widely used by companies providing professional services like search engine marketing and web advertising.

Freebies, Giving something away for free is another powerful marketing method available. Giving away a free something like e-book, mouse pad will encourage people to spread your message.

The Ugly Truth About Your Beautiful Adsense Tactics

    Writen by Ben Shaffer

The internet is abuzz over Google's Adsense program. Fortunes are being made by those savvy enough to understand how to use it to their fullest advantage. Everyone is looking for the best ways to exploit this massive advertising program, and there are literally hundreds of Adsense "experts" willing to sell you tips and hints on how to earn a healthy income with the program.

For those unfamiliar with Adsense, a brief overview may be in order. Google allows advertisers to place bids on keywords of their choice as part of what is termed the Adwords program. The amount paid for advertising related to each keyword is determined by this bidding process and can get relatively high for fairly competitive keywords. Very competitive terms can cost a great deal of money. The advertisements appear on the top of Google search engine searches (you have probably noticed them in shaded areas and along the right side of your own search results). These advertisements are also inserted into the web pages of those who participate in Google Adsense. Every time someone clicks on the advertisement, the advertiser is charged for the click. The proceeds are then split between Google and the Adsense participant.

Basically, Google is willing to pay those with content-rich websites to host these advertisements. The site operator, known as the publisher, merely needs to insert some simple and customizable HTML code on their site and ads will "automatically appear." To make matters easier, the ads are contextual in nature. Google "reads" the publisher's page and serves up advertisements related to the subject matter of the page.

Adsense was immediately seen as a way webmasters could earn some extra money from their content-rich pages that were not otherwise producing tangible financial benefits. Any subject matter for which ads exist (and ads are available on almost every keyword) could conceivably generate some profit that otherwise would not exist.

It didn't take long for people to realize that this approach merely scratched the surface of Google Adsense's potential bounty. Soon, webmasters determined that sites rich in content directly related to the highest paying keywords could generate significant profits with each and every click. With the high cost of competitive keywords, it was possible to earn several hundred dollars from a single Adsense-carrying page from only a handful of clicks.

Other publishers determined that finding underserved keywords that still generated significant per click revenue could also produce amazing results. A quality high paying "niche" Adsense site could be a significant source of revenue.

Today, Google Adsense continues to grow in popularity. Advertisers love the arrangement, as they now have an army of webmasters designing sites that will eventually lead to pre-qualified prospects being led to their commercial endeavors. Adsense publishers love the idea of creating sites that can generate revenue without requiring a product to sell. Adsense continues to create awesome income opportunities for those who know how to best use it.

As noted, there are a variety of so-called "experts" offering tips and hints to help increase Adsense revenues. Some focus on on-page design and other similar means of increasing "click through rate (CTR)." Others focus entirely on how to produce hundreds of sites quickly and easily in hopes of creating income through volume. Sometimes there seem to be as many expert Adsense systems as there are actual sites featuring Google's ads.

Those who initially took this "spare change" opportunity and transformed it into a true moneymaker, however, uncovered the key to success with Adsense. The key to success is finding the right keywords and determining how to best exploit them.

It's not too hard to guess what kinds of keywords are generating decent payouts. Medical terms and keywords related to multi-million dollar lawsuits, for instance, are universally known to be bring high amounts per click. At one time, the internet was crackling with news of how the keyword "mesothelioma" and related terms were earning nearly a hundred dollars or more per click. That's right…Per click. Ten "mesothelioma" clicks in a day could conceivably put one thousand dollars in the pocket of a publisher.

Of course, once word leaked out, "mesothelioma" sites sprung up everywhere. Adsense experts and newbies alike engaged in heated competition for the elusive "mesothelioma" clicks and their attendant profits. Soon, it became increasingly difficult to get traffic to a "mesothelioma" site. There was simply so much competition.

The story of how a form of lung cancer took Adsense by storm is important to understand, because it teaches a fundamental lesson about the nature of succeeding with the program. You not only need to know what words are making money with each click. You need to know that information before everyone else does, too.

That is why keyword research is the most important aspect of successful Adsense use. By understanding which words are paying the most at any given time, you can position yourself in those key niches before the onslaught, allowing you to garner considerable profit in a relatively short period of time.

Adsense keyword research can be performed manually by anyone willing to invest the time. By creating a separate Adwords account, one can take on the role of an advertiser and see what it would cost to advertise for particular keywords. This will give one an idea of how much each click to an advertisement is likely worth. They can then analyze the competition for that keyword to see if the market is too saturated or not. They can also use any number of services to generate a list of related terms to check and see if there are any veins that are particularly underserved in terms of "perfect match" traffic. After they discover a high-paying word with an accessible market, they can use the information to make more money with Adsense.

There is, however, a problem or two with this technique. Initially, one may have to take hundreds of stabs at finding a keyword that matches all of the necessary prerequisites for success before they are even able to discover which keywords are really high paying. Then, they must hope that keyword is not already over-served on the net, so that they can hope to profit from their Adsense site. If it turns out that the high-paying word they discovered is already being served by hordes of other Adsense users, they must go back to square one and start the process over again.

The process is cumbersome, time-consuming and absent a stroke of luck may never produce real results. What a potentially profitable Adsense publisher really needs is a way to quickly and easily determine how much a click is worth for virtually any keyword at an instant. To make matters even more convenient, they must also be able to immediately ascertain the popularity of the term with respect to how many people are seeking information on the keyword.

Fortunately, this alternative is now available and it is really the best way to profit from Google Adsense. Adsenseadwords.com has automated the process of finding winning keywords and can provide users with all of the information they need to choose the best niches and keywords to attack. Adsenseadwords.com provides a comprehensive up-to-date look at which words are generating the most money per click. At the same time, it reveals just how many people are actually searching for the keywords in questions. Even more impressively, it takes an extra step and allows users to look for related keywords in order to find the best ways to custom tailor sites to produce maximum Adsense revenue.

This kind of information is in high demand for a reason—it is the one way to produce the best possible results. If one performs a search on a term like "high paying Adsense keywords," they will quickly understand how coveted information like this really is. You'll find forum posters begging for information on which words are hot. You will find old lists of various higher-paying words that are still relied upon by some desperate for direction even though the lists are now old and of little real utility. Everyone wants to know which words pay the most. Adsenseadwords.com answers the question with an intuitively structured system that provides both keyword values and essential search pattern information.

If you just want to put some Adsense ads up on an existing site and hope to earn a few cents per day, Adsenseadwords.com is not for you. However, if you are interested in discovering which keywords can really offer the most profit potential in order to help direct your site-building and site optimization plans, it is the perfect service. You know the big money clicks are out there somewhere. History shows us all that those who find them early and make their move can produce massive profits. You just need a tool to help you find the right terms. Adsenseadwords.com gives you the tools and makes them very easy to use.

Successful Internet Marketing Without A Budget

    Writen by Lee Munson

The following excerpts were taken from an interview held with successful web marketer Darren Cronian in June 2005.

LM:You are successfully promoting Worldwide Holiday Homes, without a marketing budget. Is this a decision you took out of necessity or choice?

DC:Certainly out of necessity - I dream of the day when I can spend thousands of pounds on marketing my business.

When I first had the idea of the business I had no business plan, I hadn't designed a website before, and I'd certainly never heard of the term SEO, never mind what is stood for. All I did know was that I would submit this website to Google, and within days thousands of visitors would be visiting my site.. (I'm being serious!) that's how innocent I was.

LM:It could be argued that someone who looks to promote a site without any kind of budget is either ill-prepared or lacks faith in the product or service they are offering. What are your feelings about this?

DC:I would agree with you - the idea came to me when my parents bought a holiday home in Spain, and I had never thought about building a business before, I was ill prepared and to some degree, I lacked belief that the website and services were going to be successful, and if it wasn't for my own dedication to succeed the business wouldn't be in the position that it is in today.

Trying to promote your site without spending any money must be extremely difficult. What do you consider to be your biggest challenge in terms of marketing?

I cannot explain how difficult it is - I see my competitors spending thousands (if not millions) on PPC campaigns, television and radio advertisements, etc and sometimes that can be soul destroying, and you do think 'What am I doing wrong?' but these companies have a work force that are dedicated on building and running the company - whilst I'm running the business by myself, in my living room.

The biggest challenge with marketing is persuading clients (villa owners) that I can offer them a service, which is good value for money, has great support and customer care - unfortunately, the sector I am working within, the travel industry, has thousands of companies, and many of them have let owners down, and in my opinion made life very difficult for genuine businesses.

The other challenge I face is making sure that the website is regularly visited by holidaymakers - without the traffic from the likes of Google, Yahoo and MSN the business would not exist - fair enough you could say that about 99% of online companies, but the owners who advertise their villas, etc. rely on enquiries from holidaymakers, and if I'm not providing owners with enquiries, I'm failing them and the business.

LM:Do you feel that having no marketing budget restrains your site from moving forward and competing with the leaders in your industry?

DC:It certainly does - I want to be respected by the travel industry, and I want everyone to know who Worldwide Holiday Homes are - when someone is looking to rent a villa I want them to say "oh let's go to Worldwide Holiday Homes". Without a marketing budget, I don't have the funds to pay for a PR company to raise the profile of the business and I think long term this will affect the business unless I increase the revenue to the business.

LM:To be able to compete with those webmasters who have large sums of money available for promotion do you feel you need to think smarter or work harder?

DC:Both think smarter and work harder. My working week is working around 14 hours a day, 7 days a week, it doesn't give me much time for a social life, but if I put the hard work in now, in years to come that hard work will come to fruition. The great thing about webmaster forums like Digitalpoint.com is that you can learn from other webmasters, and all of the experience and knowledge I have gained running this business has been from more experienced webmasters and search engine specialists.

LM:If you are not spending money then presumably you are relying on SEO skills to promote your site. What areas of Search Engine Optimisation have you spent time on and which have generated the most successful results?

DC:I certainly am relying on SEO skills to promote the website and have focused more on researching keywords which holidaymakers are using to find the type of holiday accommodation the portfolio has available, as well as working on various linking strategies to get the website and it's pages ranking well.

Initially I thought specific keywords would bring in thousands of holidaymakers every week - the keyword 'holiday rentals' I thought would be an excellent keyword to get ranked on the first page - I found after spending a good few months optimising the website for this keyword that it brings in a few referrals a day... lesson learned there.

LM:What proportion of your internet traffic is direct referral from search engine queries?

DC:I would say 90% of the traffic is from search queries from search engines and directories - with the other 10% from links, and forum posts. I feel I'm in a position now to attempt to bring in more visitors by spending revenue on marketing the website through other means - I do have sleepless nights thinking what I would do if Google was to stop sending me holidaymakers.

LM:What would you consider to be your best, zero cost, marketing success?

DC:Good question - search engine optimisation on a number of pages with some very competitive keywords - obviously I don't want to give my competitors the opportunity of outranking me, so I'd prefer not to divulge the keyword terms. Also, I submitted a few press releases to www.prweb.com and found myself speaking to two editors of a regional newspaper, and an online travel magazine, both these articles brought in a good level of traffic for a few weeks after... and it was free.

LM:Your site has featured in UK papers (The Yorkshire Evening Post). How did you manage to gain such press coverage?

DC:The business was featured in the Yorkshire Evening Post under the business section, simply because one of the editors had heard about me setting up this business and thought it would be a really good story for other small business owners (or people thinking about setting up a business). Word of mouth is and will always be the best form of marketing - I spoke to a guy in the pub, who knew an editor at the newspaper and the rest is history.

LM:Now that you are obviously experiencing some success are you tempted to invest your profits into marketing in order to move your site up to the next level?

DC:Yes, in the past couple of weeks I have started to look for quality websites to promote my business and website on, the problem with advertising is that you don't know how effective it is going to be, and with a tight marketing budget you can't afford to make any mistakes.

LM:Finally, do you have any other areas of free promotion that you are looking to exploit in the near future?

DC:Yes, I'm actually writing my first e-book, and will obviously continue on optimising the website and writing press releases and travel articles. I believe that networking (word of mouth) is a big part of promoting your business, and you won't believe how many new clients I have received by simply taking a taxi ride and telling the driver all about my business (without boring him!) and handing them my business card. I'm also a member of www.ecademy.com which is paid or free membership, and enables you to meet and network with people of the same interests, this has been a great place to pick up ideas and again promote my business.

Lee Munson runs the site http://www.info-sales.co.uk which offers free webmaster resources, including a huge list of free directories to submit your site to.
