Have you ever gone to some ones home that was cooking one of your favorite foods? As the aroma hits your nose, it's hard not to drool isn't it? Did you hint how much you liked that food? And if they invited you to sit down and have some of that special food with them, it was a treat, was it not?
If you are a big eater like my muscle bound nephew in his twenties, you may have even said, "May I have another serving, please?" (At home he may have three servings if he really likes it!)
Visitors on your site are the same about what they are looking for. When it comes right down to it, they have an appetite and are hungry for what they are looking for. As someone who recently corresponded with me said "I want your ebook, ... I need your ebook." And then went on to talk about downloading it.
Increase Sales: How To Increase Your Visitors Appetite For Your Information
Whet the visitors appetite at first by giving away something free. This gives them a nibble, a snack of information and whets their appetite for more.
Here are examples of giving freebies that I have used, maybe you can think of more:
1. Your free articles
2. Your free bonus ebook(s) when a person signs up to your list/newsletter
3. Free bonuses that you add to what you are selling, such as an ebook or script
4. Free bonus ebooks or software you give to your existing subscribers
5. Bonus ebooks you offer as an affiliate to someone else's offer
Lets go over offering these freebies in more detail and I am going to tell you how to get people to remember you every time they open their freebies on their computer.
Giving a free article on your topic lets them taste it so to speak. They can roll that flavor around in their mouth and see how they like it. If it whets their appetite, they will want more. This will lead them back to sign up for your list, or to purchase from you.
Same goes for the freebie you give when you have someone join your list. Since the free information will be related to your topic, it keeps them tasting the subject, checking it out and wanting more. Since your website has more of the same, they will come back.
Freebies added as bonuses to what you are selling, or what you offer as an affiliate are the same. They will be about subjects that compliment what your main subject was about. It helps keep their appetite going for the subject and then you can come back with a back end offer to compliment that.
Some times you will be authoring the bonus ebooks, articles and reports and they will be pointing to your site, or have links in it that point to things you want to advertise. But it can take a long time to put several quality bonuses together. What else can you do?
Here is where it gets a little tricky - There is a quicker method, although, till now it has had its drawbacks. There is a ton of information in the form of ebooks, articles and reports that others make up that you can give away. They will have links in them to the other persons sites and suggested affiliate information.
This information from other authors may come free to you, or you may purchase it in the form of resell rights, which gives the right to distribute the information.
If you just give those ebooks, articles and reports away, and the visitor pulls them out in a week or a month, it is unlikely they will know where it came from.
They will assume that the author is the one who gave it to them. Ouch! That can be painful for you. That would mean that giving the freebie away has lead them away from your site, in trade of having a bonus to give away.
Work Smarter, While You Increase Sales
I found a nifty answer to this dilemma. I found software that will take a zipped file and insert your eye-catching, profit generating ad, image or link pointing to where you want when they download your information. In addition a second offer can be imbedded in your file, that stays there. Discover for yourself how to increase sales by giving some information away.
And get this, every time you use the software, you have the opportunity to imbed your affiliate number which will lead many to checkout the program and buy it themselves, which will pay you as an affiliate.
With your information imbedded in the file, you get people to remember you every time they open their freebies on their computer. This will encourage many to become repeat buyers, sign up for other newsletters or visit any url that you have imbedded.
With this advanced way of branding other peoples freebies, you will see an increase in visitors, subscribers and sales as the file they open keeps reminding them of you, your site and your information.
